Audrey Brassard’s Conference
Monday, April 20, 2026, starting at 4:00 PM
Room C-1017-11, Pavillon Lionel-Groulx, Université de Montréal, and on Zoom

The Canada Research Chair in Relational Distress and Intimate Partner Violence aims to better understand, prevent, and reduce relational distress and intimate partner violence (IPV). This research program is grounded in robust theoretical frameworks and innovative methodologies, including access to rich data from individuals and couples. Through close collaboration with numerous partner organizations, the Chair’s work is structured around two main research axes. The first focuses on identifying risk and protective factors associated with relational distress and IPV. The second aims to evaluate and enhance prevention and intervention programs targeting these issues. This presentation will highlight key findings from completed projects, introduce ongoing research initiatives within each axis, and open a discussion on potential avenues for collaboration with members of the CICC.
