Abstract:

This presentation examines current research on zoophilia, addressing the psychological, behavioral, and social aspects of sexual attraction to animals. I will first outline the theoretical and methodological context, including the research challenges associated with this sensitive area. Next, I will discuss my ongoing projects, including the assessment of psychological correlates, demographic characteristics, sexual attraction toward non-human animals, and gender differences. Finally, we will identify key knowledge gaps, encompassing tailored therapeutic approaches, the prevention of problematic behaviors, and the enhancement of clinical support.
