Bringing together enthusiasts in forensic linguistics, criminology, computer science, and law, this event offers a unique opportunity to combine diverse areas of expertise to advance research and deepen our understanding of legal and criminological texts with the help of artificial intelligence.
The goal of the Hackathon is to mobilize interdisciplinary expertise to enhance your skills in text coding and analysis.

Registration deadline: April 21, 2025
After an introduction outlining the objectives of the day and key foundational concepts from the various disciplines involved, teams will be invited to develop innovative solutions to analyze a data corpus using artificial intelligence.

Explore compelling corpora, including judicial reasoning, discussions on criminal marketplace forums, or interactional dynamics in real investigative interviews.
Contribute to advancing research and text analysis based on your expertise in one of the following fields:
Language and Communication Sciences (Linguistics): Decode language dynamics in legal contexts.
Criminology: Identify key parameters for understanding criminal behavior or decision-making in relation to crime and its management.
Computer Science: Design tools for automated text analysis.
Law: Interpret legal decisions and frameworks.
To facilitate the formation of teams and the selection of data corpora, interested participants are encouraged to register early. Don’t wait—space is limited!
