Julie Maheux

Professor at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Julie Maheux specializes in psychotherapy processes, therapeutic relationships and alliance, and the effectiveness of psychotherapeutic interventions. Her work also focuses on transference and countertransference, as well as the training and supervision of mental health professionals.

She is particularly interested in mentalization and reflective functioning in clinical practice, professional ethics and practice-related issues, and interpersonal trauma, including childhood maltreatment, neglect, and sexual abuse. Her research further explores both child and adult psychopathology, as well as personality development, assessment, and treatment.
